This website has been developed by Taylored Technology, in response to a request by the Carlisle Ski Club. The members felt it would be useful to be able to view the ski slope at Yad Moss, to determine the skiing conditions before setting off, as many had a distance to travel.

Due to its remote location, harsh environment, lack of mains power and BT connection, a standard approach of using web cameras was not possible.

Using the latest innovations now available from the mobile phone industry, Taylored Technology has developed a system whereby it is possible to capture images and obtain temperature information from the ski slope itself.

To keep the running costs to a minimum, this information is currently downloaded once a day and then can be viewed via this website.
